Pre-School

Bunny Hop? - NOT!

FUMC Quitman offers lots of opportunities for folks of all ages to enjoy each others' company - and a few ways to work on staying healthy. This looks like a Bunny Hop from somewhere else - but it's really just our 'N J.O.Y. Line Dancers taking a break from another strenuous and challenging hour of putting all those steps together. Instructor Joyce Stephens is the best.

Christmas Banquet - What a Meal!

Our Methodist Men, led by President and Chief Chef Jim Berry, hosted a Family Christmas Banquet on Saturday, December 8th for about 180 folks. Jan & George started the fun with the Lutefisk Song, the Joyful Ringers played several Christmas tunes, and 'N-JOY Line Dancers got several young and old from the crowd to join them dancing to spirited Christmas music. But the highlight of the evening was the meal. Jim and Martha Berry, with lots of help from the Methodist Men, planned and prepared a Christmas dinner fit for any king. Several said "That was the best meal ever served at this church". Others might argue that they've never had a better meal anywhere!

Marathon

While we explore the idea of launching more Wellness Ministries in our church, two of our members are leading the way. On December 8 Kevan Burroughs and Vanessa Simpkins ran in the Metro PCS Half Marathon in Dallas - along with thirteen thousand other runners. They both finished in the top half - and lived to tell about it! Congratulations, Kevan and Vanessa!
